About Us
Kalkudah Education Zone is located in the northern part of Batticaloa District in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka, approximately 33 km from Batticaloa town, with its administrative office situated in the Koralaipattu Divisional Secretariat area. The zone is bounded by the Batticaloa Education Zone to the south, Polonnaruwa District to the west, Muttur Education Zone to the north, and the eastern coastal belt to the east.
It covers a largely rural and semi-urban area and comprises three main educational divisions: Koralaipattu, Koralaipattu North, and Eravurpattu. The zone consists of about 85 schools, serving a total student population of 23,574 boys and girls, and is supported by 1,251 teachers. Kalkudah Education Zone plays a significant role in delivering education services and improving learning outcomes within the region.
